Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2, 2026
These are the rules for using SideKita. They are written to be understood, not to intimidate. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to them — so please actually read them.
01What SideKita is
SideKita is a marketplace. Customers post small physical tasks — a store check, a price check, a mystery shop, a house check, a video tour, an errand — and independent taskers in the Philippines accept them, do the work, and submit photo and video evidence.
SideKita is not the employer of taskers. Taskers are independent contractors. They choose which tasks to accept, when to work, and how to get there. SideKita does not supervise the work, provide equipment, or guarantee any amount of work or income. Taskers are responsible for their own taxes and any permits their activities require.
SideKita provides the platform: the listing, the matching, the evidence tools, the payment hold (once payment collection launches — see section 03), and the payout. The task itself is an agreement between the customer and the tasker.
02Who can use it
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be able to receive payments through GCash if you are a tasker.
- You must give accurate information when you sign up and keep it current — especially your phone number and GCash number, because that is where your money goes.
- One person, one account. Do not share your login, and do not create accounts for other people.
- You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
SideKita is currently available in Metro Manila and expanding from there.
03For customers: posting and paying
Pilot notice: payment collection launches with the public release. During the Metro Manila pilot, no customer is charged and no funds are held. The terms below describe how payment will work once collection is live.
Posting a task
When you post a task you set a title, clear instructions, a location, a deadline, how many photos you need, and the tasker payout — the amount the tasker receives. Each category has a minimum payout. Be specific in your instructions: taskers can only deliver what you asked for.
What you pay
You pay the tasker payout plus a 20% platform fee. The fee funds the platform, the evidence tools, support, and dispute handling. The total is always shown before you confirm.
- Tasker payout (example)
- ₱500
- Platform fee (20%)
- ₱100
- You pay
- ₱600
How your money is held
Your payment is held by SideKita — the tasker cannot receive it yet — until one of two things happens:
- You review the submitted evidence and approve it, which releases the payout to the tasker; or
- 24 hours pass after the evidence is submitted without you raising a dispute, in which case the payout is released automatically.
If you dispute within 24 hours, the money stays on hold until SideKita decides the dispute (see section 07). If a task is cancelled before a tasker accepts it, or rejected during moderation, you are not charged.
04Prohibited tasks
Some things are not allowed on SideKita, full stop. Do not post, accept, or perform a task that involves:
- Surveillance of a person — following someone, watching who visits a home, tracking anyone's movements, or gathering information about a specific individual.
- Weapons or controlled substances — buying, moving, or handling firearms, ammunition, illegal drugs, or anything regulated as such.
- Trespassing — entering private property, restricted areas, or someone's home without clear permission from the owner or occupant.
- Fake reviews or impersonation — posting reviews for a business you were paid to praise or attack, pretending to be someone else, or misrepresenting who you are to a store or a person.
- Anything illegal under Philippine law, or anything that would require the tasker to break the law to complete it.
We screen task instructions. Tasks that match our safety filters are held for review before taskers can see them. SideKita may reject a task before it goes live, or cancel it afterwards, if we believe it violates these rules — and we do not have to explain why. Repeated attempts to post prohibited tasks will close your account.
Taskers: if you arrive at a task and realise it is prohibited, stop, do not complete it, and report it to us. You will not be penalised for refusing a prohibited task.
05For taskers: conduct and evidence
The whole platform runs on customers being able to trust what you submit. So:
- Complete tasks honestly. Do what the instructions ask, at the place they specify, by the deadline.
- Submit genuine evidence captured at the location. Photos and videos must be taken by you, on site, during the task. The app records your GPS position and the time at the moment each photo is captured — that record is part of your submission.
- Do not falsify anything. No re-used photos, no edited images, no photos of screens, no spoofed or faked GPS, no submitting on behalf of someone else who did the task.
- Only accept what you can do. If you accept a task and cannot complete it, tell us promptly so it can be released to someone else.
- Be decent. Treat store staff, residents, and anyone you interact with respectfully. You represent SideKita when you are on a task.
Fraud has one outcome. If we determine that you falsified evidence, faked your location, or otherwise cheated, you forfeit the earnings from the affected tasks — and any pending balance connected to them — and your account is terminated. We may also report serious cases to the authorities.
06Payouts and cash-outs
- When a customer approves your submission (or the 24-hour auto-release passes), the tasker payout is credited to your SideKita wallet.
- You can request a cash-out from your wallet to your GCash number at any time. Cash-outs are processed by our team, usually within 1–2 working days.
- Make sure your GCash number is correct. We send money to the number on your account; if it is wrong, we may not be able to recover it.
- Your wallet balance is not a bank deposit and does not earn interest. It is money we hold for you until you cash it out.
- SideKita may hold or reverse a payout while a dispute or fraud investigation is open.
07Disputes
Customers may dispute a submission within 24 hours of it being submitted — for example, if the photos do not show what was asked, were taken at the wrong place, or the checklist is incomplete. After 24 hours without a dispute, the payout is released and the task is closed.
When a dispute is raised, SideKita reviews the evidence: the photos and videos, their GPS coordinates and timestamps, the checklist answers, the original instructions, and anything either side sends us. We then decide whether the payout is released to the tasker, returned to the customer, or split.
SideKita's decision on a dispute is final. We aim to decide within 3 working days. Both sides agree to accept the outcome as the resolution of the task.
08Liability
SideKita is a platform, not a party to the task. In plain terms:
- We do not guarantee task outcomes — that a task will be accepted, completed on time, or completed to your satisfaction.
- We are not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from a task — to a tasker, a customer, or anyone else — including accidents while travelling to or performing a task, or damage to property at the task location.
- Taskers act at their own risk. You decide which tasks to accept and how to carry them out. Assess the location and the situation yourself, and walk away from anything that feels unsafe.
- We do not verify the accuracy of task instructions written by customers, or of evidence submitted by taskers, beyond the dispute process described above.
- To the fullest extent Philippine law allows, SideKita's total liability to you for anything related to the platform is limited to the platform fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms removes rights that Philippine consumer-protection law gives you and that cannot be waived.
09Ending your account
You can stop using SideKita and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing kenneth@sidekita.com. Any wallet balance will be paid out to your GCash number first, unless it is on hold for a dispute or fraud review.
SideKita may suspend or terminate your account if you break these terms, post or perform prohibited tasks, commit fraud, harass anyone, or if we are required to by law. If we terminate a tasker account for fraud, forfeited earnings are not paid out.
10Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute about the terms themselves (as opposed to a task dispute, which section 07 covers) will be brought before the proper courts of the Philippines.
We may update these terms as SideKita grows. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above, and for significant changes we will email you before they take effect. Continuing to use the platform after that means you accept the updated terms.
